The Draaimolen Festival in Tilburg is known for its unique combination of electronic music, art installations and natural surroundings. The location is an old military complex in the middle of a forest, giving the visitor a very unique experience.
After a successful 2023 edition the organisation approached Toprek Rigging BV again for using their 3D Flying By Wire system for the 2024 edition. Also this year the light design was formed by The Children of the Light, a duo of Amsterdam-based visual artists: Christopher Gabriel (1980, Oslo) and Arnout Hulskamp (1978, Amsterdam).
For the 2024 edition, new flight paths where programmed to give the audience again a unforgettable experience. One of the highlights of the show was the “Manta”. Moving lights in combination with the flight path gave the illusion of a giant manta ray swimming though the sky.
