Draaimolen Festival 2025 — Flying by Wire™ Among the Trees

For the 2025 edition of Draaimolen Festival in Tilburg, we proudly deployed our Flying by Wire™ system for the third consecutive year. Set within a forested former mobilization complex (MOB complex), the festival’s unique location offered a striking natural backdrop—where history, landscape, and electronic music meet.

Once again, Flying by Wire™ enabled multiple lighting fixtures to move freely through the space, gliding between the trees and above the audience. The gently flying lights added a new spatial dimension to the experience, creating moments of surprise and immersion as light became a moving presence rather than a static source.

This year’s lighting concept was created by the Amsterdam-based artist duo Children of the Light. Their sculptural and atmospheric approach to light design blended seamlessly with the motion of the Flying by Wire™ system, resulting in a poetic interplay between technology, nature, and sound. Together, movement and light transformed the forest into an ever-evolving landscape after dark.

Returning to Draaimolen for a third year in a row is something we truly value. It reflects a strong collaboration built on trust and shared curiosity—continuously exploring how innovative technology and artistic vision can come together to create unforgettable experiences.
