During Muziekfeest van het Jaar 2025 and BITFOOD, Toprek Rigging delivered on request of Unlimited Productions a standout aerial contribution using our F3D Flying by Wire™ system. Across both events, no fewer than three different artists took to the air, creating memorable moments where music, movement, and technical precision came together.
In addition to the live audience experience, Muziekfeest van het Jaar 2025 was also recorded for television, with broadcasts scheduled for New Year’s Eve. To create truly dynamic and immersive visuals for the TV production, the director expressed the ambition to also fly a camera through the performance space. Toprek Rigging was therefore asked whether it would be possible to combine performer flying with a flying camera system within the same show environment.
While this may appear straightforward at first glance, combining flying performers and a moving camera introduces significant technical and safety challenges. Careful spatial planning, strict separation of flight paths, precise timing, and uncompromising safety measures are essential to eliminate risks for performers, crew, and equipment alike.
Thanks to thorough preparation and the expertise of an experienced flying team, Toprek Rigging successfully met the client’s request. By integrating artist flying and camera movement into a single, coordinated setup, we were able to deliver both visually striking performances and dynamic broadcast imagery—without compromising safety or artistic quality.
These productions once again demonstrate how advanced flying systems, when supported by experience and meticulous execution, can elevate live shows and television recordings alike—transforming musical performances into immersive, multi-dimensional experiences.
